Dunster Festival 2020
It is with the greatest of regret that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 Dunster Festival, which was due to take place May 22 to 24.
This is not a decision that we have come to lightly, and is particularly heartbreaking in view of all of the hard work that has already been undertaken by so many to make this year, as every year, the success that we have no doubt it would have been.
However, in light of the continuing situation surrounding COVID-19 and recent Government guidance, we felt that this was the only responsible choice and the best way to ensure the safety and well-being of our audience, volunteers and artists.
If you have already purchased tickets, we will be in touch with you in due course to discuss your booking, so please do bear with us during this process.
Dunster Festival is nothing without its audience, and we are grateful to you for your consistent support and encouragement. We rely entirely on ticket sales, sponsorship and donations to survive and if you are able we hope that you might consider donating your ticket money (or a portion of it) directly to the Festival to help us at this difficult time.
Every penny will enable us to plan ahead with confidence: we firmly intend to be back, bigger and bolder than ever, in 2021, so please keep an eye on our website for updates on our future plans.
As a festival we have always been committed to music in the community and we very much hope to continue our partnerships with local schools, nursing homes and community groups when this is once again possible.
We wish you all continued health and well-being in these challenging times. Stay safe, and we look forward to welcoming you to the 2021 Dunster Festival.
