An evening of opulent romantic chamber music with Debussy’s Sonate en Trio for flute, viola and harp, Ravel’s Introduction and Allegro for harp, flute, clarinet and string quartet, and Brahms’ exquisite clarinet quintet. With world class musicians and a champagne reception during the interval, this first ever concert of the new Dunster Festival is sure to be a historic and memorable occasion. Not to be missed!

Artist Biographies
Sacconi Quartet
The award-winning Sacconi Quartet is recognised for its unanimous and compelling ensemble, consistently communicating with a fresh and imaginative approach. Performing with style and commitment, the Quartet is known throughout the world for its creativity and integrity of interpretation. Formed in 2001, its four founder members continue to demonstrate a shared passion for string quartet repertoire, infectiously reaching out to audiences with their energy and enthusiasm. The Quartet have enjoyed a highly successful international career, performing regularly throughout Europe, at London’s major venues, in recordings and on radio broadcasts. The Sacconi is Quartet in Association at the Royal College of Music.

Rachel Wick - Harp
Rachel Wick is a graduate of St. Peter’s College, Oxford and the Royal Academy of Music. She has played with many of the country’s leading orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra and further afield with the Symphony Orchestra of India and Norwegian Opera. She has a large private teaching practice and also teaches harp at Berkhamsted School, the Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music, and coaches for the National Children’s Orchestra.

Thomas Hancox - Flute
Thomas Hancox studied in Oxford, Paris, and London, graduating summa cum laude. He now works as guest principal flute of the U.K.’s leading orchestras, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Academy of St Martin in the Fields, English Chamber Orchestra, and English National Opera, amongst others. Solo and chamber work has led to collaborations with artists and ensembles including the Allegri and Sacconi string quartets and Trevor Pinnock.
